|Market research, like any other discipline, must adapt to even faster business changes and whenever it’s possible become the driver of change. Agile transformation, digitalisation, new players in the field such as data sciences are just a few drivers of change. Remaining relevant seems to be the big challenge and delivering strategic insights faster and more efficiently is becoming the new normal, given ongoing budget constraints in most corporations. Traditional research methods need to be re-evaluated and new ways of generating customer insights have to be looked at and of course, innovation remains key. So how can we best address these changes and upskill the role of the market researcher? |
Yvonne will open this meeting with some food for thought on these issues and share her views from the industry perspective.
Yvonne Engler, VP Global Customer and Business Insights at Bayer Pharmaceutical, has a 25 years’ track record of accomplishment in finance & controlling, strategic consultancy and marketing, as well as market research & competitive intelligence in the pharmaceutical industry. Her passion is to employ best business practices that help to drive innovation and shape strategic decisions. Yvonne is truly patients’ insights driven and passionate about making research relevant. She holds a Masters in Communication Sciences and Psychology from Freie Universität Berlin, as well as a BA in Business Administrations from Berufsakedemie Berlin. Yvonne is co-author of several articles published in the European Journal of Contraception. She has been on the convening group for the German EphMRA meeting since 2016. Besides being an inspiring senior female leader, Yvonne is married with 3 kids.
