Let’s say someone doesn’t answer your calls or replies to your emails. What do you do?
And what if they hesitate about your findings or advice. What do you do?
Storytelling is very useful to you. A good story arouses curiosity. Once your client is curious, he or she longs for more and desperately wants to know how the story continues. So by starting a compelling story, you’ve got them hooked. They hear you.
The next obstacle is trust. You can give them all the facts and figures, but they will only believe it if they think you are reliable. So, show yourself. Be authentic. Tell them a true story about your values, your work, your efforts. The more personality you throw into a story, the better.
